Types of CRM

There are generally three main types of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, each focusing on different aspects of customer interactions:

  1. Operational CRM: This type focuses on streamlining the business’s operations with customers. It includes automation of marketing, sales, and service processes, aiming to improve the efficiency of customer interactions.
  2. Analytical CRM: This type is focused on analyzing customer data and behavior to make informed business decisions. It helps in understanding customer trends, segmenting customers, and personalizing marketing efforts.
  3. Collaborative CRM: Also known as Strategic CRM, this type emphasizes collaboration among business teams and sharing customer information to improve service and build stronger relationships with customers.

Some CRMs may combine elements from all three types to provide a comprehensive suite of tools that cater to various business needs.
